It was a breezy night, Cashlynn ended up with the flu on Friday and already it was hitting the end of the weekend. Time went by so fast these days. It was at the drug store, buying medicine for his daughter. Hands in his long black trench coat and a scarf around his neck to cover himself from the harsh winter wind. Snow laid gently on the ground. Already it was a week old and still as white and deep as ever. He wondered how much longer it was going to keep like this. The essence from the snow, gave the wind all the more chill.
He looked at a street lamp while waiting in line. He could see the snow in the light. A sigh softly came over him as he looked back to the clerk and moved another space up in line. His soft blue eyes came beautiful with the snow behind him. The black coat made is eyes stand out all the more. His red nose and ears made him look older then he really was. Not that he noticed or cared for that matter.
Woman to him weren't what he was looking for rite now. He needed to get their life started, his and Cashlynn's. A single parent and a constantly sick child was hard to do but somehow he always made it seem easier then i really was.
He peered down at the box and checked his cell phone to be sure she hadn't tried to call him and ask for anything more. There was no call but his mind re-loped and decided to call and make sure she was alright with the 15 minute baby-sitter and to make sure she didnt need anything more. This will be my last trip out Cash, are you sure you don't need anythin'? he asked with the tone a father would give his daughter at the time. Of course if she needed anything he would be rite on it. Cashlynn knew that so never took her father seriously on these moments. Okay, I'm just checkin'. Ill be home in 10 minutes. You get your butt to bed
His phone back in his pocket. He looked up the line, he was behind a lady at the register. He was second in line. He stood patiently and stared at a few child care books for a moment before zoning in on anything that could be happening around him.

She had been standing there for a while, for she had been out walking for a while and it was freezing to her. She loved the snow, but she stood there beside the door. Optics locked onto the ground, as she took a deep breath she was only here to get warm and keep moving. She had the name of "Stage Bandit" for things would be staged and stuff would come up messing but would find their way back after a while. She sighed as she looked around for once, she wasn't in the mood after all it had been to long since her last trick had been played. She sighed as the doors opened once again, for she was ready to go back outside but yet couldn't find it to make herself move. The clerk watched her, speaking to her. "I'm sorry miss, if your not going to buy something you must leave" . She looked at the clerk and sighed, moving slowly towards the doors.
ooc; sorry its short

He stood in line and looked over at the girl standing, she could be scene to look cold but why would the clerk put in a bad name to that? He sighed and shook his head. Crazy he huffed. Moving to buy his things, finally he was heading out the door as well. It hadn't taken him too long so he could see the lady walking away, he was going that way as well so why not chat? He moved a little faster and came up to her side a little.
He wasn't looking for a one night stand or even a date in that matter. He just thought it would be nice to talk to someone that wasn't three or he worked with/for. He had a far enough distance away from her to look just ordinary. Yet he looked over and un-shyly spoke. They can be an ass sometimes but it's a nice place he had his view up at the black sky that sprinkled snowflakes down on them like flour going threw a grader.
Not yet did he offer a hand or his name, sometimes people didn't like to talk and that would just be nuts to go in on that, that way. He matched her steps though, finally glancing at her and then watching his feet sinking in the ground over an over again as he walked. The wind flipped up a little to blow up his hair a little when he looked up to her as if God letting her be able to see his features.

She sighed as she walked slowly, it was cold she shivered crossing her arms trying to keep warm as she walked. She could hear somebody walking behind her, but she didn't say anything. She could hear somebody speaking, behind her she wasn't going to say anything but the figure appeared beside her. "They really don't care about people, I was going to leave anyways." she spoke softly, she watched the frosty air that came out from her mouth. She sighed and just wondered really, if she would make it to the motel. She was still searching for a place to stay, she had the money to pay for it but didn't like to . Taking a deep breath she sighed, and looked at him. Wondering about him, but didn't ask because it wasn't her place.

Logan nodded his head Yeah there not very good on that I guess he smiled softly. His hands were stuffed in his pockets and he looked at her shaky cold. He wasn't THAT cold. He stopped and looked into an Hollister store. Here he said stopping, his hand signaling her to follow him in. He looked at the jacket she had on and grabbed one that looked to her liking and held it up. A questioning face to see if she liked it. Don't just say yes, unless you like it.
Yeah he just meet her but it wasn't that way for Logan, he was just nice that way. He had the money to blow. He used to spend it on other things but he don't have that anymore. He looked at her still waiting for an answer. It was black leather. A Hollister sign in the inside on it. You cant go around the streets walking with nothing warm.
A lady came by and smiled at them, she worked here. What can I do for the young couple? she asked in a clueless manner. Logan looked up. He didnt look offended, it was a common mistake.

She walked with him watching him, she felt kinda of stupid walking with nothing warm. She shook her head yes, and looked at it. It was something she would wear, for a while. She sighed and watched the saleswoman, she gave a slight smile but didn't speak. She looked tough enough but then again looked like she could break. She shivered once more, "Oh lordy it's cold outside" she spoke softly, as she looked down. She looked at him for a moment, "Thanks" she spoke as she looked at him. She sighed as she wondered back outside, she looked around watching the flakes fall.

Logan smiled at her as they walked outside. He looked at the sky too. the night was beautiful. Names Logan, Logan Wolf by the way. He offered out a hand. His smile was warm. He picked up the coat and opened it out for her to climb into it. He was a original old fashion, sweet hearted, kind, loyal country boy. His hands were rough but with a soft layer on them. From farmin' to much and roping them steer. He looked into her eyes as he introduced himself. He loved her eyes, they were soft. He would soon let her hand go and continue to match her steps. Sorry, if I come on a little strong... Where I come from everyones that way.

She walked with him, looking at the jacket. She smiled and looked at him, "Nice to meet you, i'm Jacquelyn Gutierrez" she spoke. She didn't have a hard way of a saying things, something that could blow by like the wind at times. Today was one of her off days, she sighed and looked around. She couldn't wait to get into the jacket, she put her arms threw and looked at him. "It's alright, I've known worse" she replied, as she looked at him. She took a couple steps forward, skipping a step here or there. "I still have atleast 20 blocks one way and then 10 another way to walk, so it's going to be a long night for me." she started to mumbled on.

Her name repeated in his mind so he would remember. Logan looked to the ground and listened to her as they lazily walked. Once she said how far she had to walk his face squinted, How bout you stop by my house and I'll drive you home. I just have to drop off this medicine for the lady and then we can be off. he didn't have that eary sense to him. My house is just another half a block er so he smiled and then looked at the the street to make sure he was rite.

She walked with him, she was starting to pick up her pace but soon failed to and stopped. She sighed and looked at him, "It's alright, I can walk. I have bothered you enough" she spoke kindly as she looked at him and then away. He had already bought her something, and she knew him not so why would she let him keep giving her things? She looked towards the sky, and then back at him. "If i'm to get home, in a decent time to get to my job interview in the morning I must keep going" she said aloud, for she thought aloud some times. She looked at him, and gave a smile and started to walk again. Taking a deep breath she sighed almost tripping over the pavement, "I really am a blond, come on your tougher than this Jack"[/i] she thought to herself not wanting to admit a ride would make her feel better. She knew if she sat down or stopped again, she would fall asleep after all walking all day long and sleeping a little bit didn't really do any one person any good.
Taking a deep breath she looked at him, not wanting to say yes to him. She pondered, he had a lady and that made her feel bad. She sighed, not trying to think about it after all what would she think about him buying some random stranger, a lady a jacket at that fact or even giving her a ride home. She took a deep breath, and sighed for she wanted to just get home.
ooc; it's as big as i'm going to make it. [/size]

Logan laughed when she said bothered. How could somtin' like taking you home bother me? he still carried a grin on his face Come to my house, I'm takin' you home On this setting, he wouldn't take no for an answer. He looked over and saw his street. There it is, please come with me...? A favor you could do for buyin' the jacket he smiled using that to his advantage.
Logan was a strait forward guy and just thought how life was lived was by kindness and honesty. He despised people that lie. Behind or in front of him. He's the old western cowboy that looks for God's grace in all mistakes.
By the time you get home, you're alarm clock'll be buzin' for you to wake up and get to that job interview. I take you home and you'll have time for a flick. He honestly wouldn't mind her spending the night if she was really that tired. He'd sleep on the couch or with Cashlynn while she took his bed.
His voice and actions were all Southern. What could he say, raised as a farm boy wasn't something he shunned from his world, he loved every inch of it. Don't make me hog tie ya back to the house he grinned clean across his face; eye to eye. He stood their, now at a stop to his street he hoped he could walk her down. P-please, don't break my bleedin' heart he said with drama, addin' his hand to his chest and a grin to top it down.

She looked at him, and really was pondering. She looked at him, and took of the jacker. "Well then you can have it back, if that's what your using it for." she spoke slowly. She was about to play games, she just wanted to sleep. She yawned and looked at him, she was holding the jacket out towards him. Shivering was a a part of this, she wasn't about to break this easily but she knew she would have to somewhere along the line.
She looked at him, and took back the jacket and put it back on, "Never mind, I'm keeping the jacket. It's to cold out side". She watched him, she got a slight smile on her face, "Maybe you will cowboy, I don't break this easily" she said looking at him. She wasn't the easiest girl to get to, she had standards and she wasn't about to break on of them. She wasn't about to be able to take this much more, she took a step towards him and looked around. She pondered how long it would take her to get home by walking or by car. "Alright you can give me a ride home"

Logan wouldn't take it back, he stood there with a smirk on his face as he stared at her not saying one word. She wanted him to take the coat back? Why would I want that? he asked looking at the out helled jacket. The words crossed her lips and a shake of his head was made. You don't have to break, maybe you could bend a little? he asked looking at her with hope for a nod or that simple three letter word that started with 'Y'.
He waited for a few moments and then there was a Alright you can give me a ride home he couldn't tell her how overjoyed he was. As little as he showed it in the inside. Alrighty then, come, follow me he said signaling for her to come after him.
He went to a little house, more like an apartment and made his way into the living room. He walked a little fast as if he were trying to rush. He walked to the old lady sitting in the chair, there was a little three year old asleep in her lap. Logan and the lady talked for a moment and then Logan reached down to pick the girl up, waking up a little she tirdly tossed her arms around his neck and laid her head against his shoulder, falling asleep again.
He walked into a bedroom decorated with stuffed animals and such. He laid her down in bed and knelt down beside her bed. She was now groggily awake, enough to mumble a few things to her father as he coaxed her to go back to sleep. Are you leaving again daddy?
I'll be back in a short while he said stroking her hair back gently. I'm going to drop a friend off at home and then Ill be back he smiled softly. Reaching back he took out the medicine box and started to open it.
Cashlynn looked out the door at her then back to her dad Is she your girlfriend?
Logan smiled and took the medicine out Don't be silly, we just met he gave the medicine to her and gave her a drink of some water that had been on her nightstand. You need to get some sleep. Goodnight he whispered as he kissed her forehead and stood up. He shut the door but left a night light on for her.
He came up to Jacquelyn and gave a soft grin. Ready? he asked as he picked up his keys. He waited for a minute by the door. Would you like a soda for the road?
There was no sign of a Mrs. Logan around, not even a picture on the wall. Logan didn't look fazed by anything... Maybe a little worried about something, it wasn't certain of what.

She looked at him for a while, and then stood there for a moment and looked away. "I don't like to bend, I already did once tonight" she spoke slowly, she took a deep breath. She stood there for the longest time, waiting on him. She was drifting asleep as she stood there, she heard a voice and looked at him shaking her head no. Soda wasn't something she wanted, unless it came with hours of sleep.
She looked around and spotted nothing really, she was still piecing things together after all she was a rocket scientist . "Yea, I'm ready." she said looking at him, she turned around heading for somewhere but where she didn't know. "Ready to sleep" she mumbled, but it was loud enough for anybody to understand.

Logan took her to his 2009 Chevy he waited for to get in as he started the truck with a huge roar. Once she was in his drove, he acted as if he had no clue where he was going but he knew where the street was. Logan ended up taking the long route and being very joking about it. Take a rite? he'd repeat as he went left Oops, sorry, I'm horrible as left and rite.
Finally they were there and he opened the door for her, he would walk her to her door. With a sigh, knowing this was it he looked up at her. He wasn't inclined to ask her on a date cause he really didn't think she wanted one and wasn't really sure if he was ready to move on. In fact he didn't know when he'd ever be.
I guess this is it? he asked in a statement rather then a question. Thanks for giving me company, it's been a while.
