Here was a start, telling her about himself. It wasn't always an easy story but it was something he could get by. She needed to know how Cashlynn got into his life anyway. He looked at his fork on the table and then up to her eyes. Well, I was a 100% farm boy up and down and no doubt. Then I turned into a boyfriend and left the work to by younger siblings. We ended up getting married and having Cashlynn, two years down the road she died. My parents ended up that way as well and my sibling moved away from the virus that killed us all. I moved Cashlynn here in hopes to start over. he said strait up. He wasn't afraid for her to know him, if she were to have any stronger feelings of him she shouldn't feel that way to a stranger.
Their food was delivered and once the lady left Logan leaned forward. How did you come to live in a place like this? he asked as if it were a secret which clearly, it wasn't. He always liked things to sound more interesting then they really were. It kept other tables wondering. He looked into her eyes like a mother about to read a bedtime story. Full of hope and wonder.

She watched she seemed to have an interest in him, he after he got done speaking he looked into her eyes. She locked eye contact with him, somethings she wasn't willing to break. She sighed and pondered for a moment. "Mother was what I would call an original gangster from the hood , and my father was a sweet old rich boy. Things happened by the time I was six, I was raised from my father which he was still living with his parents. They where shocked at the site of me, but they helped him rise me. The last time I say either of them was when they put my mother six foot under. Now i'm just looking for a new place, without any family ties" she spoke slowly. She watched him, blinking here or there. She took a drink of the soda, her history would have been what you would say interesting if she split all of it out.

Logan listened and nodded his head as she spoke. She was a beautiful speaker. She had pride in her voice and not an ounce of shyness to what he could hear. Once she was done he decided he should ask a question that could shock the both of them. Although it was lagid, there was still a newness between them, easily fading away. Would any of those family ties your talking about consider a boyfriend? he hoped the answer was 'no' by God he did. He came with a daughter which was a downfall to most woman. For others it showed a man ready to settle down, essentially since they were once married.
He waited for an answer, his muscles tight from the anticipation he just made plosiable for her to destroy him.

She watched him, noticing many of the things about him. She was quite prideful, and she got that from her mother. Optics searched and watched him, for some emotions as he asked her a simple question. "I meant like father, or cousin's or something like that. I never said anything about no boyfriends." she said slowly watching him. Maybe this would go farther because he sure showed some interest and so did she. She was a bite harder to get some things to show in public, "Do you know anybody who wants a girlfriend, because after all I'm open for it." she said watching him, waiting for any emotion. She was leaving so many doors open at this time, she took a bite of the biscuit.

Logan softened when she first spoke and then smiled when she spoke again Actually I have a buddy of mine, he's a couch potato and weight about 500 pounds... The guys only 5'7" he laughed to let her know he was joking. He stared at her for a moment and then looked to his plate that poofed there. He must not have noticed the waitress put it down. Would you let me have a swing at it? he asked itching the back of his head in a bit of nervousness.
He wanted to hold her hand but didn't want to stretch his limit on what girls put on them. He wanted to kiss her but thought maybe when he dropped her off or some other time, there was no need to rush things. He waited for a response to his gesture. If not I mean I'm cool if you just wanna lay back and let things slide more or just stay friends but I'd really be tickled if you accepted my... my proposal. he couldn't help but stutter a little, he was scared as hell. It had been a long time for him.

She listened to him, and laughed with him. Apparently she was going on the right track, she smiled and looked at him. "Of course I'll give you a shot." she said looking at him. She very rarely fell for anybody, and when she did it would be a date only once but she never did anything really official before. She hated the fact of dating in high-school, many of the guys though she would kill them if they tried anything. She smiled at him, "By the way I don't bite" she spoke again, sometimes she just dropped off hints and that was all she gave.

He grinned broad and then finished his last bite and chugged his drink. You don't bite eh? Ill remember that later he smiled thinking of kissing her. He reached forward to risk his chance with her by holding her hand. He took hers in his. She was small compared to him but he liked knowing that. To him that's how it was suppose to be.
He checked his watch, it was nearly 10, how time flew. Do you need me to drive with you anywhere, er come with you so I make sure no guys are on your ass? he said. He was the defensive type, more at first then anything. As trust came he wouldn't mind her dancing or going out with a guyfriend.

She pondered for a while, and sighed. She looked at him taking another drink, they had been out for quite a while. "My job interview isn't until eleven o'clock, until then I don't have anywhere to go" she spoke watching him. She squeezed his hand, her grip was like a guys. She watched him, trying to find some type of emotion from what she did. After all she didn't really mean to do it to hard, pondering about like she always did she looked around. She motioned for the waiter, and asked for the check. She looked at him, with her bright blue sapphire eyes.

Well, we can stop by Cashlynn's school and have lunch with her, today is the day I usually do that. he looked down at her hand and smiled back up at her. He was crazy about her eyes, they were amazing. Has anyone commented on your eyes? he asked a bit lightly. He set down a $40 for the waiter when he came back. He had been planning on taking the bill anyways.
There is one more thing I should probably say before we head out. I'm a cop. sometimes woman didn't like it cause it meant they weren't around a lot. Logan wasn't like that. He put family before his career.
His thumb slid over her hand gently, eyes looking to hers. Ocean to ocean. Blue to blue.

She took a deep breath and smiled, "Sure I'd love to meet your daughter" she said watching him. Her eyes looked into his moving slowly, she pondered again. She sighed, and watched him pay for the food she was glad he did because she had no money with her. "Many boy's have told me they are ocean's they don't wish to get lost in." She spoke watching him, a little bit of spark was gone from her eyes when she spoke.
She looked away and down, put her other hand on her head moving her hair away from her face. "Doesn't both me, just mean's you might be able to handle me" she said watching him. There were some things it was hard to handle at her, she just didn't really care.

He stood up getting ready to go as she spoke her last sentence. Was that suppose to be an invitation? he said a little unsure. A cop being able to handle someone... Of course he wasn't ready to share his body with hers. Of course not. That could take a while for him being he already felt bad as if he were moving too fast. Which he wasn't, he just was new to the whole widow thing.
He held out her coat for her and then looked down trying to hide from her stare if she was a little flustered he'd said sucha thing. He took her hand and walked her down the sidewalk a bit, detouring before he got them to the truck.

She looked at him, and shook her head. "It means I have a temper, at times." she said slowly, she stood up with him. Looking around, it was almost time for the lunch rush to start coming in. She took her coat putting it back on, not matter how hot or cold she ware a jacket. She sighed and walked with him back to the truck, there wasn't anything she was wondering about now. She looked at him, smiling deeply as she jumped. She pulled out her phone, she had fifteen minutes to get to the station. She smiled, not telling him where to go. "Can I drive?" she asked, trying to keep this a surprise to him.

He stopped when she spoke You know how to get to the school? he asked reminding her of lunch with Cashlynn. Sure, you can drive. he said scooting out of her way.
He made way to the other side and waited for her to start it up. A long breath came out of him and he waited for the car to start. Temper hu? he smiled. Maybe Ill work my magic and change that temper he said being a little inviting but just to play. What could he say, he was a guy. When he sat he reached for her hand in her lap, not wanting to let her go.

She looked at him, "It won't take me 10 minutes, at the interview okay? Yes I know how to get to school" she spoke watching him. She put her hand on his and started up the truck, she put it into drive and was heading for one of two places. She drove down the street looking for the right place to turn at, she was hoping he wouldn't know where she was going. "You might be able to" she spoke again, just pondering as they got closer to the station.

Logan had a hunch, being the station was out in the middle of no where. What did you say you were doing again? he asked meaning job wise. He waited for a moment. Take a right he finally said. He was excited she wanted to get a job there, more time to themselves and not taking any away from Cashlynn. He sat back to let her find her own way.
